Exciting News!!

Opportunities come along and we have to grab them when they come!

As a wedding industry professional, we have to always be on the go and be one step ahead. So I have decided to enter the Wedding Industry Awards 2024.

Last year, after considering myself as a newbie, I entered the Wedding Industry Awards 2023, and low and behold, I got into the final heat for the Northwest.  I was stunned and over the moon, as I had not done as many weddings as I thought would warrant me being considered.

However, during my journey of being a celebrant, I have not only officiated weddings, but I have also arranged photo shoots with some supplier friends. What fun we had creating photographs to show on our Instagram profiles. I have learned so much about how to be active on social media and studied how to use Canva for my wedding branding. The list is endless for the behind-the-scenes stuff that goes on, so to enter these awards is a part of it and oh so exciting!!

Being a celebrant isn’t just about showing up on the day of a couple’s wedding. It is about all the behind-the-scenes stuff we get up to for our weddings and ceremonies.  So, as a behind-the-scenes glimpse, here is me entering the Wedding Industry Awards 2024.

I have no idea if I will get through, but what has happened is that I have had to think about how I work as a celebrant? How do I deal with daily situations? And how do I converse with couples?

The whole experience has been thought-provoking, and one I have delved into quite seriously.

So entering the awards isn’t only for me, it is for my couples, past and future, so I can be the best version of myself and be there for them.

I thank, with all my heart, the couples who have voted for me (it could only be couples whom I have married from last October to now). Your support means a lot to me.

To work on being a better me, and one who can improve on any weakness, has to be an important part of being a celebrant, and being there for my couples. So here is to me entering the 2024 Wedding Industry Awards.

Wish me luck!
